skilldrop update no longer erases your edits to an installed skill. A file you changed is kept, and the new version is written next to it as <file>.upstream for you to merge. Files you didn't touch update as before, and --force still overwrites everything. Skills installed with an earlier version overwrite once on their next update, then keep edits from then on.
Packs are re-cut so every skill and loop has exactly one home. A new core pack holds the skills every role uses (brief-intake, doc-critique, output-hygiene, council-review) and the ship-a-draft wrapper. Every role pack except claude-api installs core with it, through the CLI, pack.py and the Claude plugins alike, so one --pack command still gives a role its whole toolkit.
Eight skills moved to a single pack: user-story-splitter, launch-readiness and agents-md-generator → dev-team; capacity-cost-model → sre-oncall; data-contract → solution-architect; agent-threat-model and ai-use-case-triage → ai-engineering; exec-summary → stakeholder-comms. If you installed a pack for one of these, install it by name or add the pack that now holds it.
The full profile now includes every pack and every loop. It had been missing claude-api and release.
