Four skills are retired: tech-comparison-matrix, db-schema-design, metric-definition and contribution-wizard. On evals they were never revised against, the agent without them did as well or better, and none adds a rule the agent breaks on its own, only a format it can produce when asked (RFC-0046). An installed copy keeps working. The catalogue now holds 96 skills.
The CLI says when a skill you installed was retired. outdated, update and doctor name it with the reason and the uninstall command, and remove nothing. install, info and diff on a retired name stop with the same reason instead of "unknown skill". The evals page lists every retired skill and why.
tool-use-schema-writer gives the tool definition you asked for, and adds the Python client.messages.create snippet only when you ask for it.
Sixteen skills that pointed at a retired one were updated so their hand-offs and "when not to use" lines no longer name a skill that is gone. The data-analytics pack now starts with sql-review, then dashboard-spec, then doc-critique.
Seven more skills will be rebuilt around the one rule each adds, one at a time, and each ships only if two blind judges prefer it on evals it has never seen. The roadmap lists them.
